Film Festival Co-ordinator Needed
Our Island Our World Film Festival - Salt Spring Island’s Documentary Film festival is turning ten with a solid reputation for presenting films covering issues of social justice, sustainability and development both locally and world-wide.
We are now at a point of positive expansion as a registered society and by 2010 hope to have a salaried coordinator’s position in place. This coming year will be one of transition and we are seeking a new coordinator to lead our documentary film festival successfully into its 10th anniversary.
Our Island Our World Film Festival is looking for a dynamic and skilled individual to provide leadership for our festival organizing team. Our ideal coordinator will thrive in a stimulating and creative environment, love documentary films, enjoy working with a great team, be able to roll with the punches, and enjoy having fun. This position could be shared between two individuals. Could this be for you?
If you are interested in this opportunity, please email Diane Thomas. Please let us know about your experience and the skills that you would bring to this position of Film Festival Coordinator.
Thanks for making 2008 another successful festival year!
Here are the top ten films as voted by you, the audience at this weekend's Our Island, Our World Film Festival.
We will be purchasing these for the library, and they should be on the shelves by early Fall. In the meantime, Tim and John at Island Star have some of the films shown at the festival.....ask their staff to point you in the right direction. They also have many other fine documentaries.
